Speaking the truth in love, we will grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. Ephesians 4:15 Our small group ministry exists to help each member belong to a small, caring community. Our groups are intentional gatherings of people (about 12 to 25) who meet regularly for the purpose of discovering and growing in Christ. Whether your need is for study, support or fellowship, the small group provides a caring, personal environment for fellowship, encouragement, and connection with the family at Fairfax Church of Christ.
Our small groups have great variety in their make-up: some are all singles; some are all families; some are a mixture of all ages; some meet for an hour; some for three hours. Some groups meet on Sunday night; a few meet on Tuesday or Wednesday nights. Some have family devotional time; some have in-depth Bible study. In all our groups--Scripture is studied and applied, burdens are shared, victories are celebrated and lives are changed. Activities and character of each small group differs according to the talents, interests, and personalities of its members. However, all groups focus on "showing Jesus" by equipping and strengthening group members and Outreach to others so they may enjoy the blessings shared by the group in knowing Jesus as our Savior. Small Groups are the cutting-edge of ministry when it comes to community and spiritual growth! As our church grows larger, we also need to grow smaller to create caring and meaningful relationships.
