| PowerHouse 2009 is shaping up to be the best PowerHouse since 1509! This year we’ve changed the format a bit, but you shouldn’t be scared—it’s going to be amazing!
We’ve decided to turn PowerHouse upside down and this year we want everyone to take to the streets. We’ve arranged for several service projects that will help those in need. Your group as a whole will go to one of these areas of service and help change the lives of those who need it the most. Who can’t be excited about bringing Christ to those who are lost without His love? (For more about service projects click here)
But that’s on Saturday, right? What about the rest of the weekend you ask? Friday night we will gather for an awesome night of praise and worship, speakers who will motivate us for the work, and a time to put Christ on our hearts. Saturday after the service projects we will meet for dinner and group devotional times, after which we will have more praise and worship time, testimonies from the field, a lesson and best of all… an amazing time!
We’ve worked hard to combine the fundamental teachings of Christ: love God and love your neighbor as yourself. We will fuse the traditional youth rally with a burst of service for an experience you can write home about. You couldn’t ask for a greater chance to grow closer to God than to “walk the talk.” PowerHouse will be a walk you never forget!
