Bible Classes

Summer 2009

We strive for classes that provide learning opportunities for everyone. You are welcome to attend any Adult Bible class that fits your interests. We have arranged our Sunday morning Bible classes to try to match family schedules. Therefore, we offer classes that are of greater interest to parents of school-age children at the same time that our congregation conducts classes for school-age children. We hope you find a class that is right for you.

Refreshments (coffee, tea, pastries) are available in the kitchen during the 1st and 2nd class sessions every Sunday morning. Please join us. Please take fellowship outside of the kitchen as there is a class directly next to the kitchen.

209/211 Heart & Home (General Adult) Pilgrim Heart - The Way of Jesus in Everyday Life by Darryl Tippens David Palmer, Jack Claypoole, Doug Stickler, and John Bossong
Originally, the faith of Jesus was considered a distinctive way of life rather than a sophisticated theological system. Pilgrim Heart re-imagines discipleship as a particular way of life guided by a set of simple, but powerful, daily practices known to the earliest disciples and the saints through the ages. These incarnational and communal practices include friendship, Sabbath rest, hospitality, forgiveness, listening, and others. Pilgrim Heart is an invitation to consider afresh the way of Jesus in light of these practices that have proven to transform lives for two thousand years.
