Lisa Bosley & Audrey Stevens
|
Lisa Bosley has been working with kids
since her high school days. She has a teaching degree
from Abilene Christian University and taught for 6 years before
she stayed home to raise her family.
Lisa has been married for 17 1/2 years and has
a beautiful teenage daughter and a wonderful son.
Lisa is now the Children's Minister for Fairfax Church of
Christ in Northern Virginia. Working with infants through
teens is her passion. "We learn so much from kids, especially
about friendships by watching children play and then realizing
that God helped you to find each other."
Lisa feels blessed by all the many friends that God has placed
in her life. These friends, along with her family, are the
ones who make her smile, laugh, and lift her up. God
was so generous when he placed Audrey Stevens in her life
as she is the true friend of her heart and will be through
eternity.
Audrey Stevens has plenty of experience
making and nurturing friendships as a result of several relocations
throughout the years. Moving to Sao Paulo, Brazil during
her teen years provided the impetus to develop her skills
in friendship making under the added pressure of a new language
and culture. She has also been a mentor to woman
of all ages and is a published writer with articles
in the Christian Women magazine.
She is the mother of three, including one teenage
daughter and one pre-teen daughter. She is married
to David, who is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
and the Family Life Minister for the Church of Christ of West
Orange.
Audrey is a Midwestern girl in a womans body.
Having been a teenager herself she comes ready to share
heart-warming experiences of friendships won and lost.
Her 22 year friendship with Lisa Bosley has been one of the
the most rewarding of her life.

loves her family, her teaching, and traveling! She has been
in education for over 25 years and is currently working at

children, counseling troubled teens, and living in Africa,
where she taught Health at a small college. She has also done

Lisa's strong commitment to serve was inherited
from her parents, a Navy pilot and a nurse, whose example
of reaching out to new neighbors and communities was invaluable
to her. Because of their many transfers, she developed the
ability to find a place in which to serve, whether in a mud
hut or a palace.
Lisa is married to David, has 2 sons, Matthew
and Michael, in High School, and many other "children" who
were blessed to have her as a stable force and Godly influence
in their lives. She grew up traveling the world - she has

on the many areas of ministry in which women, both young and
old, can honor God by dedicating themselves to His service.
