Schedule of Classes for Summer 2008

We strive for classes that provide learning opportunities for everyone. You are welcome to attend any Adult Bible class that fits your interests. We have arranged our Sunday morning Bible classes to try to match family schedules. Therefore, we offer classes that are of greater interest to parents of school-age children at the same time that our congregation conducts classes for school-age children. We hope you find a class that is right for you.

Refreshments (coffee, tea, pastries) are available in the kitchen during the 1st and 2nd class sessions every Sunday morning. Please join us. Please take fellowship outside of the kitchen as there is a class directly next to the kitchen.

Listen to audio of selected Wednesday night classes here.

The Life of Moses

Sam Jeffrey

Lost loves, dreams, glory, relationships, marriage, a friend, a hope, a happiness. In life we are all chasing something.  Some of us are more aware of it than others.  But if we all stop for a moment, we can all feel something that stirs our emotions.  We are not the only ones chasing something, we are being pursued.  Not by something dangerous, but by something glorious.  We are being pursued by a loving God who knows that we are made to be more than we have become.  We can choose to run from Him.  We can flee to the mountains of academics or jobs, or we can run to the spiritual deserts where living water does not flow, we can even carve out a seemingly nice little life for ourselves there.  But in a quiet moment we will hear His call on our hearts "I AM is with you!"  Hundreds of years ago Moses found himself in exactly this spot.  Join us as we follow his journey from achieving the greatest of earthly glory, to fleeing for his life into the desert.  Watch as the Lord strips away the excess and shapes a heart that cares only for him.  Discover, as Moses did, that the presence of God is THE one essential, the one necessity that made life what it was meant to be.  Meet God as the spiritual water bursts forth from the desert rocks.

Change Your Heart, Change Your Life

Jack Claypoole , David Palmer, John Bossong, Eddie Gillon, Ward Sandlin, and Doug Stickler

Out of your heart flow your words and actions. Change your heart, and you'll change your life. Nobody has to live by the destructive subtle lies or believe the distortions of truth this world holds out to us. There are steps, strategies, and beliefs people can bring to their lives to either totally transform them or quietly improve them - and it all starts with hiding God's Word in their hearts. Hiding God's Word in people’s heart will revolutionize the lives of people and those around them as well - from lust, materialism, selfishness, anger, stress, overeating, anxiety, and guilt, just to name a few. No matter a person's age, experiences, or previous patterns, this class will share the “whys” and “hows” of orchestrating their beliefs to forever change their lives and relationships.
