Christopher Straw,
USA. Chaplain Candidate Christopher Straw was selected by the FEB
2007 Accessions Board for Active Duty, and was concurrently promoted
to CPT. Christopher possesses a bachelor's degree from Granite State
University, and he completed his Graduate Studies at HUGSR. Most
recently, he was a minister for the Berclair Church of Christ in
Memphis, TN. Chaplain Straw has nine years' prior service. He will
complete CHOBLC in August and report to Fort Lewis, WA in September.
Jeff
Scott,
USAF. Chaplain, Capt, Jeff Scott
was selected for active duty by the Accessioning Section in April
2007. He holds the B.A. in Biblical Studies from the Institute
for Christian Studies and the MDIV from ACU. Jeff has served
several congregations, most recently as the pulpit minister for Western
Hills Church of Christ in Temple, TX. He served on active
duty in the US Army for four years 1987-91. Chaplain Scott completed COT
and the Chaplain Basic Course in August. His first duty
station is Little Rock AFB, AR.
Wes Balmer,
North Carolina ARNG Chaplain Candidate Program. CPT Balmer is enrolled in the M.Div. Program of Campbell University Divinity School and expects to graduate in 2009. He has a B.A. in Education from Fairmont State College and has served for seven years as minister for the Helen Street Church of Christ, Fayetteville, NC. Wes served both as an officer and enlisted Soldier on Active Duty and in the USAR. He attended Phase I of CHOBLC this past Summer.

Chaplain Candidate Program. 2LT Darden is in the M. Div. program of
Western Seminary with a planned graduation date in 2009. Jason
received his BA from Harding University and is currently serving as
the Pulpit Minister for the North Metro Church of Christ,
Sacramento, CA. He has eight years’ prior service in the USAR.
